Volunteer positions and descriptions
Volunteer Coordinators: Volunteer Coordinators will be responsible for organizing and mobilizing the volunteers for activities, events, and opportunities.
Venue Coordinators: Venue Coordinators help secure locations for events and activities and ensure that the space is accessible the day of the event.
Fundraising Coordinators: The fundraising coordinators set up the Venmo, PayPal, CashApp, Zelle, Square, and physical tip jars and handle all of the money and are accountable to reporting all funds coming and going to the rest of the team.
Supply Coordinators: Supply coordinators help make and print flyers and gather supplies like banners, signs, tables, chairs, water coolers, tents, and make themselves available to run to get parts and supplies the day of the events and activities.
Promotions Coordinator: Promotion coordinators put out press packages to local news outlets, share events on social media, host canvassing events, and a number of other activities to promote events and activities of the group.
Event Coordinators: Event Coordinators will be liaisons between the volunteers and the people receiving aid. Event coordinators will help sign people in for events and track who is waiting in queue next for repairs and help with task delegating and communication between volunteers.
Home Repair Volunteers: The home repair volunteers are people with skills and apprentices looking to learn trades like electricians, plumbers, HVAC technicians, carpenters, appliance repair technicians, painters, etc. The home repair volunteers will go to peoples homes and do the labor required to help the individuals requesting aid. The home repair volunteers will also host skill share workshops and maintenance demos.
Auto Repair Volunteers: The auto repair volunteers are mechanics and people looking to learn how to work on cars. The auto repair volunteers will go to events and peoples homes to do the labor required to fix or maintenance their vehicles. The auto repair volunteers will attend pull over prevention events and help replace headlights, taillights, marker lights, brake lights, reverse lights, turn signal lights, and license plate lights. The auto repair volunteers will also put on skill share workshops and general maintenance training events.
